Company Description

Macquarie Infrastructure Company LLC invests, owns, and operates in a diversified group of infrastructure businesses in the United States. Its businesses comprise the energy-related businesses and an aviation-related business. The energy-related businesses include a 50% interest in International Matex Tank Terminals (IMTT); The Gas Company; and a 50.01% controlling interest in a district energy business. The IMTT, a bulk liquid storage terminal business, provides bulk liquid storage and handling services at 10 marine terminals in the U.S. and 2 in Canada. It stores and handles petroleum products, various chemicals, renewable fuels, and vegetable and animal oils. The IMTT also owns Oil Mop, an environmental response and spill clean-up business. The Gas Company, which is a gas production and distribution business, manufactures and distributes gas products and services in Hawaii. It offers synthetic natural gas for utility customers and liquefied petroleum gas to utility and non-utility customers. The district energy business, which operates the district cooling system in the U.S. that serves customers in Chicago, Illinois, and Las Vegas, Nevada. It produces chilled water and distributes it through a closed loop of underground piping for use in the air conditioning systems of commercial, retail, and residential buildings. The district energy business serves approximately 100 customers in downtown Chicago and a customer outside the downtown area; and 3 customers in Las Vegas, which comprise a resort and casino, and a condominium. The Atlantic Aviation, which is an airport services business, operates fixed-based operations at 66 airports and 1 heliport in the U.S.; and provides fueling and fuel-related services, aircraft parking, and hangar services to owners/operators of jet aircraft in the general aviation, commercial, military, freight, and government aviation sectors. The company was founded in 2004 and is based in New York, New York.
